LiDAR: Using Spatial Analyst to Process Data
oData Needed: Elev. Info. (Raster DEM dataset or Contour Lines or LiDAR Pts.)
oSteps to follow:
§Create a FILLED GRID from Elev. Data
·Use Spatial Analyst tool -> Hydrology -> Fill
§Create FLOW DIRECTION GRID from FILLED GRID
·Use Spatial Analyst tool -> Hydrology -> Flow Direction
§Create FLOW ACCUMULATION GRID from the FLOW DIRECTION GRID
·Use Spatial Analyst tool -> Hydrology -> Flow Accumulation
§Create POUR POINT GRID from the FLOW ACCUMULATION GRID
·Use Use “Identify” tool onFLOW ACCUMULATION to find the value of the Pour Point cell
·Use Spatial Analyst tool -> Reclass -> Reclassify
oSet the value for the Pour Point cell to 1 and all other values to “No Data”
§Create a WATERSHED GRID from the FLOW DRIECTION and POUR POINT GRIDs
·Use Spatial Analyst tool -> Hydrology ->Watershed
§Convert WATERSHED GRID to polygon
·Use Conversion Tools -> From Raster -> Raster to Polygon
